Ten start-ups have been chosen as part of a development and mentoring program that aims at developing next-generation mobile applications for the healthcare industry.

The National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) has recently launched a new IMS MAXIMS solution for its patient records system. The MAXIMS Spinal System is specifically designed for spinal injuries.The solution allows staff to update records, implement care plans and improve sharing of information between healthcare staff.

Using widely available technology, expert training and real-time feedback helped ensure that patients treated for Hepatitis C in local communities did as well as patients treated at a university-based medical center, results of a new study funded by HHS' Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality show.
