TRICARE, the Department of Defense healthcare program, has contracted with San Mateo, Calif.-based Epocrates to offer physicians mobile access to the TRICARE formulary list.Officials say that improved access to drug information at the point of care will translate into improved the doctor-patient relationships, better care delivery, and cost savings for military families.

A podiatrist in private practice in Birmingham, Ala., says using an iPad has improved his workflow and given him more time with his patients. Todd Falls, DPM, a solo provider at Montclair Podiatry and an attending physician in the Department of Podiatric Surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital, is an early adopter of the iPad and says using the new technology was a "no brainer."

OneHealthPass is a complete telemedicine offering of products and services delivered via a centralized platform built using open-source architecture.
