CareAcademy, an online training platform for caregivers, has been named a preferred training partner of CareConnect, an AI-based workforce optimization platform for home care agencies and caregivers.
The partnership will begin in New York, where it will serve a healthcare union, with plans to expand nationally in the future.
The companies aim to provide caregivers with access to training that meets state requirements while promoting career mobility.
CareAcademy offers caregiver training, HHS training as well as training in nurse education, nursing clinical skills, specialized clinical skills and CEUs for administrators.
CareConnect's offerings provide home care and post-acute care organizations with tools for streamlining workflows, increasing referrals, reducing cost penalties and improving caregiver engagement.
According to CareConnect, its platform helps home health care agencies address recruitment, engagement and retention challenges.
"This partnership reflects the shared vision between CareAcademy and CareConnect to support the home care industry with scalable, easy-to-use solutions," Helen Adeosun, CEO and founder of CareAcademy, said in a statement.
"Together, we are enabling caregivers and agencies to deliver exceptional care and improve health outcomes across New York."
Matt McGinty, CEO of CareConnect, said the company's mission is to simplify the agency and caregiver experience via its workforce operating system.
"With the complement of CareAcademy’s trusted training platform, agencies, especially unionized agencies, can now manage care and caregiver development in one place to drive operational efficiencies and an improved level of care," McGinty said in a statement.
