AITRICS to collaborate with Mayo Clinic on new medical AI

South Korean company AITRICS has signed a joint development agreement with Mayo Clinic Platform for healthcare AI development.

Based on a press statement, they will develop and validate new medical AI models. Through this partnership, AITRICS will gain access to Mayo Clinic's big clinical datasets to build novel AI models, which will have broad application in various health settings.

The deal also includes future rights and distribution collaboration, setting a long-term partnership from R&D through commercialisation. AITRICS is leveraging this partnership to accelerate its entry into the United States market and kickstart clinical trials of its patient deterioration prediction AI solution.

AITRICS also worked with Cleveland Clinic, another major private health system in the US, to validate its flagship AI offering.

JLK bags 7th Japanese clearance for AI software

JLK, another South Korean medical imaging AI company, has received its seventh clearance from Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency for one of its stroke AI solutions.

This time, it received regulatory approval for its AI-based Susceptibility Weighted Imaging (SWI) software, which can detect cerebral microhaemorrhages and other brain lesions on SWI MRI.

The company also holds seven regulatory approvals in the United States for its AI-based stroke screening solutions.
